Dog owners know the drill: leash in one hand, plastic bag in the other, and the hope that cleanup goes smoothly. Independent inventor Craig M. Farquharson set out to end that routine with PoochPort — a patent-pending smart wearable that automates the entire process, from capture to disposal.
What sets PoochPort apart from conventional diapers and collection devices is its integrated smart-sensor module. A miniature load cell and moisture sensor continuously monitor the pouch, and a low-power Bluetooth chip transmits real-time alerts straight to the owner’s smartphone. Snap-fit pouches swap in seconds, the sensor module detaches for recharging, and every pouch is made from compostable materials.
